Ferd's Desk

"Now in 3D" - Witherferd's Desk

"The entire room puckered, as if God had just swallowed a lemon rind.
Witherferd wondered if this was what the Gates of Heaven looked like just before they opened.
With what he figured was his last dying thought, he whispered
into the swirling chaos, "I hope my computer is okay."

This image is the 7th draft of Witherferd's desk, resulting from many emails between P10 Team members.
The main image was created by Danny, with the upper right hand wall poster also being a Falch original.
The lower right wall poster and left hand speaker were taken from an earlier draft
of this work and layered in by Tobin James Mueller. (Tobin liked them better than later "upgrades.")
Tobin also created and layered in the Star Trek looking book leaning to the right of the computer,
since Star Trek dreams are mentioned in Chapter One.
The Portrait of Witherferd wearing a gold medal (in the wooden frame), is a scanned photo of Ferd's actual human model,
William Mueller (Tobin's son), displaying an actual medal received for a Speech Writing competition at age 12.

The Power of 10 is an Online Collaborative Picture Book project
in its formative stages. As the initial illustrations are completed,
writers are sketching out the first chapters. See "Contents".
